Dictionary of the Khazars
-
Milorad Pavić's Serbian experimental novel draws its readers into the world of three religions - Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, and shows their perspectives on the rise and fall of the Khazar kingdom. The new visuals of the book are inspired by the symbolism and folk tales that the author uses to reconstruct the Khazar world. The unclear line between reality and fiction is amplified by the newly added chapter, the documentation that traces the sign of Khazars in different parts of Serbia, the birthplace of both authors.
