The Secret Message for Alquist is an escape card game inspired by the world-known sci-fi drama R.U.R. written by Karel Čapek. The reader is invited to a dystopian future, where the main goal is to help the old man Alquist, to find a secret invention of Albert Rossum, long-dead genius and creator of robots. My goal was to update this masterpiece with an interactive twist while broadening the fictional world of Rossum’s Universal Robots. I’ve designed a card game combining logic puzzles, non-linear reading known from gamebooks, and semi-transparent print of plastic foil for a futuristic look.
