One of the industrial monumets of the Ústí Region that still fulfills its original function is the piping system that moves water from the Labe river to a distant power plant near the village of Ledvice. While the pipes themselves are hidden well under the ground, several dominant structures rise above to make this technical marvel tick. In this design project, we introduce an event that is a kind of a touristic festival. Hiking along the pipes either up- or downstream, participants carry a symbolic amount of river water that can be exchanged for wine once brought to the finish.
