Inside Out
Material dialogue of two distinct worlds
The project Inside Out explores the relationship between two key materials of Czech cultural tradition – glass and porcelain – through a technical and conceptual inversion. Hand-blown glass vases are dipped into liquid porcelain. Instead of the traditional glazing process, where glass serves as the final protective coating for porcelain, the opposite occurs here – porcelain covers the glass. This shift disrupts established material hierarchies and raises questions about the role of materials, tradition, and their perception in contemporary design.
