Lichen bowl

Bringing joy and giving to someone close can be a deeper experience than receiving a gift ourselves. In this work, I explore the continuity of giving. What has been given once can continue to bring joy. The bowl comes to life when filled – becoming a vessel for sharing time, taste, and togetherness. This collection of bowls is inspired by lichens – symbolic organisms that exist through the symbiosis of fungus and algae. For me, they embody friendship and mutual care: resilient, able to endure harsh conditions, and yet deeply sensitive to their environment.
