bowl
In my fruit bowl object, I allowed the glass to manifest itself naturally in its fluidity, heaviness and transparency. By pouring, the glass has been shaped into the familiar curves of the traditional cake form, creating a bowl that can be perceived somewhere between a product and a memory. The object was not created by further modification and is the direct result of gravity, heat and cultural imprint. It represents a quiet connection between the nostalgia of being home and the raw presence of the material.
