Traces of Resistance

Functional object, sculptural structure, resistant form

Traces of Resistance explores the tension between functionality and artistic expression in material-based objects. Through the combination of glass and metals, a series of works emerges that oscillate between utilitarian items and autonomous compositions. Layering, imprints, weight, and shifts in material generate both visual and physical records of resistance – material and symbolic. The object may appear legible at first, yet it simultaneously questions its own function and permanence and responds to themes of limits, pressure, and the search for balance between construction and collapse.
