Koza (Sawbuck)

The design of The Bench Koza is based on a common tool for sawing wood (sawbuck). The main idea was the connection of two (seemingly incompatible) worlds – simple village life and the luxury of today. The inspiration was traditional human activity, which is the author’s reference to its value in nowadays. The seating consists of solid maple and removable upholstery. The user can manipulate with individual parts of the upholstery, similarly to picking up freshly sawn logs from a sawbuck.
