Weaving

The collection draws on the textile history of Brno and the weaving tradition once taught at the Secondary School of Art and Design. Since old weaving looms can still be found at the school, I decided to bring them back to life and reconnect with its heritage. I created two woven jackets on a manual shaft loom, which allowed me to pattern the fabric with stripes. My color palette was limited by the yarns I found at school—it felt right to use what already existed.
