Set of finger orthoses for the upper limb

Finger orthosis

The aim of the work was to create an orthosis focused on post-operative applications, which is based on a 3D scan of the hand and is therefore tailor-made for the patient using modern 3D printing technologies. The main part of the orthosis is a finger set, which, with the help of geometric cutouts in the joint areas, allows for independent backward movement after clenching the hand into a fist using one's own strength. At the same time, attachments with different cut geometries were tested, with each type requiring a different amount of force to fully clench the palm.
