I designed a tactile construction set inspired by the fingerprint structure. The pieces, shaped like fingerprint fragments, connect with magnets and help develop fine motor skills, sensory perception, and creativity. Children naturally learn about materials and their properties. Metal is heavy and cold while wood and 3D prints feel light and warm. Children build the fingerprint puzzle following a pattern or freely with their imagination. I used contrasting materials (wood, metal, 3D printing, fabric) and textures. The colors combine bright and pastel shades to appeal to children and adults.
