The Longest journey
-
The goal of the book The Longest journey is to map the rise of the species Homo sapiens from its genesis and the start of its journey in Africa, through Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas all the way to its "finish" in Polynesia. The more graphic and plain visual style sets itself apart from the "burian" tradition of paleoart, using modest color palette, schematics and maps with portraits and "prollages" to be used with lined foil for greater interactivity with the reader. The techniques of linocut and spraypaint thematically also continue the tradition of earliest human art.
