Daybed Second Skin Interior element with an emphasis on leatherworking craft and functional application of this material. The bachelor thesis deals with skin in terms of matter or surface and studying its forms. I use organic form of natural leather in constrast with industrial metal. I use leather molding technology to create the relief that forms the seating part of the daybed, which is a functional element, but also a dominant and decor of the whole product. The final product is a daybed on a subtle metal contruction with a surface of molded leather, inspired by modifications of our own skin and its ability to remember. dimensions: 1800x600x400 mm material: metal construction with a surface from molded leather molded parts filled with microcellular rubber EPDM T130 cylinder pillow from higher toughness foam N2545, linen cover
